The book Bone, written by Jeff Smith, is a graphic novel filled with action, adventure and hilarity.

After being driven out of Boneville, Fone Bone and his cousins Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone get lost in a deep vast desert and become separated from one another. After stumbling into a forest valley, they find each other and come across a house owned by Grandma Ben and Thorn, upon whom Fone Bone immediately has a crush. Fone realized that a dragon has been watching over him, and it somehow ties in with Thorn, but he cannot figure out how. The Bone cousins must stay in the valley until spring because they dare not leave during the frosty winter.

They soon realize that a mondo huge assembly of Rat Creatures, led by Kingdoc, the largest Rat Creature of them all, is getting ready to attack and take over the valley. An unknown hooded assailant has instigated this war, and as two sisters collide in battle and nations wage war, this happy funny story about Bones and cow races suddenly turns into a dramatic and epic tale of saving the fate of nations and lives.

This is an excellent book to read and an adventure on which to go. I encourage everyone who has the time to pick this one up. Joshua Armour gives it a 10 out of 10.
