During the four or five days I worked on Mr. Mike’s crew, plucking, eviscerating, and cutting up chickens, I was able to try every process. My favorite part was cutting up the chickens and bagging them because if my family moves to California, we are going to get chickens, and I would be able to show my parents the correct way to butcher chickens. My least favorite was plucking because it was tedious and takes a long time, and I don’t like to stand in once place and do the same thing over and over. I liked knowing the next day, when Mr. Frank made chicken, that I had seen the environment in which the chickens were living and that I had worked to put that meal on the table along with my classmates.
