    Ideally suited to young men and women in transition, who would benefit from a year in which to slow the pace and silence the “noise” of modern life, Freedom Mountain Academy is a small, non-denominational, co-ed boarding school whose unique curriculum provides a natural framework for students to explore their own potential and make significant personal growth. Operating upon a basis of mutual trust, FMA is a one-year program for twenty students of high school age that offers a warm and friendly place for those who wish to grow in physical, mental, and spiritual strength and who are willing to accept the challenge.

    Freedom Mountain Academy (FMA) was founded upon the belief that young people, given opportunities to pit themselves against challenges greater than today’s ordinary demands, can come to know and enjoy the satisfaction of a healthy productive life. Meaningful challenges require a demanding environment, which is why the work/study/adventure program at FMA is structured to provide unusual encounters that test the mind, spirit, and body, and teach students to make choices that result in profitable outcomes from varied experiences.
