It is a mindset, a driving force that keeps me moving toward a goal. Usually it has a cause or reason that tells me why I should be pushing toward that goal.
Why is it important?
Without determination, nothing of real benefit would be accomplished.
How have I struggled with it?
I am usually determined not to do something that would benefit me because it is hard, unpleasant, or simply undesirable at the time. In other words, I’m being stubborn, the negative side of determination.
How will I overcome this?
It’s all in my mind. I can overcome it by simply deciding to change and following through with action. The problem is that the decision has to be an honest, true-to-life decision, not a surface level uttering of the words “I will change.”
