“Each man must look to himself to teach him the meaning of life. It is not something discovered; it is something molded.”—Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Searching for the meaning of my life and learning what it is requires me to look within to find the answer. I must turn to myself because the meaning of my life is not something I discover, but rather something I create and model. If I want to achieve an understanding of life then I must be confident in my thoughts and actions and recognize that my actions express my attitude toward life and thus its meaning to me. Antoine de Saint-Exupery stated that discovering the meaning of life by observing the world around you couldn’t be accomplished; understanding only arrives in the moment in which you decide to look within yourself. This quote inspires me to stop searching around me and to start believing in myself, knowing I can mold and model my own life and thus express its meaning to me.
