Okay, so I’m not going to tell you that weekend work hours are fun, because that would be a lie. I would know. I’ve had enough of them. The hours I’ve earned have ranged from as few as five, to as many as thirty-two. But that was when I was not focused and on track.
I have now figured out the way not to earn them, because, believe me, once you build them up, it’s tough to get them back down to nothing.
The key that has worked for me is to stay focused on my work and not to put socializing or writing letters before my responsibilities. Let those things be a reward, so when the weekend comes around, and work hours are assigned, you can enjoy seeing a big zero next to your name.
